FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Cryogenic Heat Exchangers

FWM manufactures ambient air vaporizers, steam-heated vaporizers, water bath vaporizers, and custom cryogenic heat exchangers for industrial gas applications including oxygen, nitrogen, argon, LNG, and hydrogen.
Ambient air vaporizers use natural convection and the temperature differential between cryogenic liquid and ambient air to vaporize liquid gases. No external energy input is required, the heat exchange occurs passively through finned aluminum tubing exposed to atmospheric conditions.
Our vaporizers are designed for oxygen, nitrogen, argon, natural gas (LNG), and hydrogen. Each gas has different thermodynamic properties, and we engineer our equipment to optimize heat transfer for specific applications.

Contract Manufacturing

We provide build-to-print aluminum and stainless steel fabrication including welding (TIG and MIG), CNC machining, pipe and tube bending, cutting, forming, and complex assembly. We handle projects from prototyping through repeat production.
Our sweet spot is complex aluminum weldments with repeat production volume, programs requiring qualified welders and full traceability, and projects where quality matters more than lowest price.
Yes. Our engineering team reviews drawings before production and provides feedback on manufacturability, potential issues, and optimization opportunities.
