Send the drawings and files
Drawings and CAD files are the foundation of any manufacturing review. Even preliminary drawings or sketches help FWM understand scope and provide early feedback.
- 2D drawings (PDF) and 3D CAD files where available
- Bill of materials, if one exists
- Photos of existing parts or assemblies
- Critical dimensions, tolerances, and finish callouts
Specify materials and processes
Note the material and the processes involved so FWM can confirm fit with our capabilities, aluminum fabrication, welding, machining, forming, assembly, packaging, and recurring OEM production.
- Material (aluminum, stainless, steel, mixed, or not sure)
- Processes: cutting, welding, machining, forming, assembly, packaging
- Finishing or coating requirements
- Whether DFM review would be helpful
Share volume, timing, and program context
FWM is built for products and programs that need a reliable U.S. manufacturing partner. Volume and timing help us understand whether the work is a prototype, first article, or recurring production program.
- Project type: prototype, first article, existing production, reshoring, supplier replacement, or new product
- Estimated annual volume and typical batch size
- Target date
- Any current supplier issue you are trying to solve
Documentation, NDA, and submission
Note any documentation or quality requirements, and request an NDA if your files are sensitive, an NDA is available upon request. Submit your drawings and details for a manufacturing review and FWM will review the files, materials, processes, volume, and production requirements.
