AV SERIES

Large-capacity ambient air vaporizers for bulk cryogenic storage

The FWM AV Series includes 18 standard ambient air vaporizer models with nominal nitrogen capacities from 2K to 83K SCFH. AV models support higher-flow liquid nitrogen, oxygen, and argon applications supplied from bulk cryogenic storage, with final configuration based on gas service, pressure, duty cycle, ambient conditions, footprint, and installation requirements.

Specifications confirmed during engineering review. Contact FWM for sizing assistance.

Compare the AV Series

Filter by capacity tier, flow, footprint, and connection. Ratings are the published nitrogen rating basis. Select up to three models to compare side by side.

No models selected for comparison.

Dimensions and weights are approximate and confirmed at quote. Final connection size depends on configuration.

Rating Basis

Ratings are nominal 8-hour nitrogen vaporization ratings for model-selection guidance. Final selection depends on gas service, required flow, duty cycle, inlet and outlet pressure, ambient temperature, humidity, approach temperature, installation layout, connections, and documentation. Consult FWM for engineering review before purchase.

Gas service

Standard preliminary selection

Suitable for preliminary model guidance.

  • Nitrogen
  • Oxygen
  • Argon

Engineering review required

Reviewed for capacity, materials, pressure, and cleaning.

  • LNG
  • Hydrogen
  • Ethylene
  • Specialty gases
  • Unusual mixtures

Gas conversion (estimating only)

For preliminary estimating only: oxygen capacity is approximately 0.92x the nitrogen rating and argon approximately 1.14x. Hydrogen, LNG, ethylene, and specialty-gas service require FWM engineering review for capacity, materials, pressure, and cleaning. FWM confirms final sizing.

Selection

What determines AV performance?

Published ratings are a starting point. The model that fits your site depends on the full operating picture, which FWM confirms during engineering review.

Cold climates reduce effective capacity; the amount depends on site conditions and is set by FWM sizing. Size for your winter, not your summer.

VaporCore construction

Finned aluminum heat-transfer geometry, built to spec

Every FWM AV vaporizer transfers ambient heat through an array of finned aluminum extrusions. The fin count and length class are published for each model and decoded in the structured model number.

Heat-transfer surface

Finned aluminum extrusions provide the surface area that drives ambient heat transfer. The fin count and length class are published for every model.

Aluminum construction

Units are built from aluminum extrusions and cleaned for oxygen service.

Welded assembly

Assemblies are built to ASME B31.3, with array layout confirmed during engineering review.

Configuration flexibility

MAWP options of 250, 600, and 700 PSIG and connection options are configuration dependent.

Manufacturing consistency

Models share a common, documented array geometry across the AV range.

Service and documentation

Datasheets, drawings, and oxygen-service documentation are available on request.
