LN₂ Vaporizers

Liquid nitrogen vaporizers for Dewars, liquid cylinders, and bulk tanks

FWM manufactures liquid nitrogen ambient air vaporizers for portable liquid cylinders, Dewars, microbulk systems, and bulk-storage installations. DVAP and AV model selection depends on required flow, pressure, runtime, ambient temperature, humidity, available airflow, and duty cycle.

Liquid nitrogen applications

Industrial Manufacturing

Metal treating, shrink fitting, cooling, inerting, purging

Medical & Healthcare

Cryosurgery, specimen preservation, MRI cooling

Food Processing

Research & Laboratory

Cold traps, sample storage, cryogenic testing

Transportation

Refrigerated transport, tire deflation systems

Nitrogen vaporizer sizing considerations

Liquid nitrogen boils at -320°F (-196°C) at atmospheric pressure. The large temperature differential between the liquid and ambient air makes nitrogen well-suited for ambient vaporization without supplemental heat in most climates.

Key sizing factors include required flow rate (SCFH), operating pressure, duty cycle (continuous vs. intermittent), ambient temperature range, and installation location (indoor vs. outdoor, air circulation).

For high-volume or continuous applications, manifolded vaporizer banks may be required to maintain rated capacity while allowing ice buildup to clear. FWM engineering can help specify the right configuration.
